Hempstead Town Councilman Blakeman to discuss to Rotary

The Mineola-Yard Metropolis Rotary is happy to report that it will host Hempstead City Councilman Bruce Blakeman as guest speaker on Tuesday, July 13, 12:15, at Calogero’s superbly appointed outside the house restaurant.  Councilman Blakeman will present an update on recent actions and the activities of Hempstead City.

Council members are responsible for adopting the once-a-year funds, amending the City code and the making zone ordinances, adopting all targeted traffic laws and listening to applications for improvements of zone and particular exception and zoning codes.

Blakeman’s appointment to the Hempstead Town Board in January of 2015 signified a homecoming, considering that he marked his return as a Hempstead Councilman, a placement in which he served from 1993 through l995.  He represents the Third Councilmanic District.
